555 Collins St is a meticulously designed workspace aimed at fostering connectivity and engagement, with a primary focus on enhancing the employee experience. Studio 103's approach concentrated on improving occupant comfort and wellbeing, addressing the evolving needs of Melbourne's future workplace.
The space provides a range of working environments, including hot desks, fixed points, collaborative arrangements, and enclosed meeting rooms – all equipped with our MOTO workstations from Elements. The kitchen and break out area function as multipurpose spaces, loaning themselves to a plethora of uses including town hall meetings, presentations and lounge areas. Achieving versatility is made easy by the incorporation of Habitat – the new modular system designed by Adam Cornish.
The design draws inspiration from Melbourne’s wellness and spa sanctuaries, an ongoing love affair for Melbournians, imbuing feelings of calm and relaxation to juxtapose the cities bustling energy. Curved ceilings, and walls adorned with domed, timber batons highlight the interior’s architectural features, extending the hotel-like ambiance from the lift lobby, and guiding occupants seamlessly through the space.
Overall, the project demonstrates a holistic approach, considering factors such as energy efficiency, material and furniture selection, indoor environmental, quality and community wellbeing.
Our experience with District has been exceptionally collaborative. The staff are highly efficient, readily providing information and solutions for custom- designed products to achieve the desired outcomes. Nothing is ever an issue, making the process seamless and productive.Vanessa Serruto, Associate, Studio 103
