Massproductions presents the 4PM Table, a small side table that is part of The Little Things collection.

The table’s design is based on the 4PM chaise longue and it is made of waste from the production of 4PM.

The 4PM Table fits nicely with 4PM as they share the same design language, but also a consequence of how we chose to make the table from off-cut material from production. This means that the table’s components have thicknesses and dimensions as the chaise longue. It brings the two parts together visually while minimizing waste.

The Little Things is a collection of smaller furniture pieces and accessories designed by the company’s design director Chris Martin. In The Little Things, Chris Martin gave special attention to smaller objects that we encounter in our everyday lives and perhaps take for granted. The collection was designed with the aim of creating objects with the ability to gild everyday life.

“I wanted to change the scale of the things I normally design. It turned out that it is a similar process as when I design furniture, it is the same struggle, even for smaller objects. But the reward is worth it, because as the saying goes, it’s the little things that make a big difference.”

Chris Martin

After working as an assistant in Jasper Morrison’s studio in London, British designer Chris Martin left the UK and moved to Stockholm, where he worked as a freelance designer for IKEA and met Swedish designer Magnus Elebäck. In 2009, the pair joined forces to establish Massproductions – a furniture company that prides itself on producing “high quality, tactile furniture in a modernist spirit”.
