He returned to Perth in 2008, after working in both London and Sydney, to assume responsibility for District, stepping out from behind the scenes as a silent partner and taking on the role of Managing Director.

Holly has a background in Communications and Marketing. Prior to entering the commercial furniture industry Holly worked in Entertainment Client Management. Holly joined District in 2009 in the role of part time marketing assistant. Her dedication and attention to detail has resulted in her progression to Product Manager where she works alongside the Managing Director on all aspects of supplier and brand management.

Joe commenced with District in 2014 bringing with him nine years of industry experience. Joe’s passion for furniture was realised whilst studying Interior Design at RMIT. As Business Development Manager for Victoria, Joe is equipped with a wealth of knowledge across the commercial, hospitality and residential markets providing clients with an instrumental understanding of their requirements.

Vanessa completed a Bachelor of Arts (Interior Architecture) at Curtin University in 2011 and has over four years’ experience as an Interior Designer working in the commercial design market. Vanessa has worked in architectural practices and freelance to gain invaluable client liaison and industry experience in all areas of interior design. From small to large scale projects, Vanessa brings her experience and love of design into her role as Project Consultant at District which she commenced in 2016.

Project Support

Chloe completed her Diploma of Interior Design in 2012 and began her career working as an event planner for an event and styling company before joining a boutique design studio as a Designer.

Chloe joined District in September 2015 in the retail design area of the business and then transitioned into the role of commercial sales support. Chloe has a strong passion for interiors planning and has an impeccable eye for detail across all commercial projects.

Lauren joined the District team in 2014 after working at NAB for seven years in customer service and personal banking roles alongside studying Interior Architecture at Curtin University. In her role as Purchasing & Logistics, Lauren is responsible for all aspects of supply chain management from purchasing, to production control, shipping and product delivery. Lauren drives all sales deliverables to ensure projects are delivered within the service parameters of the project.

Karen has worked in the textile, clothing and footwear industry for twenty-seven years in South Africa managing several large garment factories. Her core areas of competence are financial management, production planning, systems and logistics. Karen joined the District team in 2014 as the Administration Manager responsible for international shipments, financial accounts and IT management.

Ian studied Industrial Arts at TAFE and commenced his career in the furniture industry designing layout and installed room settings for Ikea before creating his own furniture installation company. After six years, Ian transitioned into logistics for Monro furniture gaining valuable knowledge of designer products. Ian joined the District team in 2012 as Senior Project Manager WA responsible for all communications with the client and arranges all requirements for site access and installation.

 Heidi joined District in 2019 with over 12 years experience working as an Interior Designer/ Stylist for various companies in Melbourne. Her knowledge of furniture and design is extensive and she understands the requirements needed for both residential and commercial applications. Relocating from Melbourne to Perth, Heidi brings fresh energy and enthusiasm to the showroom floor. Working with such a beautiful collection of brands, she hopes to share her passion for furniture and design and assist clients in creating the perfect solution for every space.

Completing a Degree in Interior Design at Swinburne University, Rose’s passion for interiors & design has led her to explore the many facets of the design industry. Having recently had the opportunity to attend Salone di Mobile in Milan, Rose’s interest and passion for quality furniture, brands and design has inspired her to work closely within the world of designer furniture. Combined with a strong Administration background, Rose commenced her role with District in June 2016 within the Commercial Sales Support Role for Melbourne, but also prepare detailed shop drawings and presentations as the Design Systems Coordinator. Working alongside inspiring professionals within the Architectural & Interior Design industry Rose’s greatest reward is seeing the final product of beautiful furniture pieces complimenting the designer’s aesthetic and transforming spaces into experiences.

Heather completed LL.B (Honours) from the University of Essex and has worked in business management since 2001 in the roles of Principal Contract Manager, State Manager and Managing Director. Heather joined the District team in February 2017 to ensure delivery of business services more efficiently throughout the organization to all departments. This focus of this role is to consolidate and improve the delivery of products and services by developing simpler, faster, more robust and efficient processes and systems.

 Fresh from emigrating from the UK, Ted became part of the Logistics team at District in May 2017. Ted’s has previous furniture, logistics and warehousing experience as he was employed previously at Space Store completing furniture installations throughout the UK and prior to that as a delivery agent for Amazon. In the 2IC role, Ted is responsible for supporting the Senior Project Manager to ensure deliveries, site installations and the warehouse operate efficiently.

 Frank was employed for the past eighteen (18) years by Space and Poliform furniture as a delivery driver and installer. Previously Frank worked as a wood machinist at Furncraft Furniture. Frank joined the District team in January 2018 as a Warehouse Assistant to provide support to the Warehouse Manager to ensure deliveries, site installations and the warehouse operate efficiently.

 After starting her career in Real Estate sales administration and marketing, then as a PA to a selling Principal, Alex transitioned into the Design Industry in 2015 working at both Koskela and Cult Design.

Alex joined the District Sydney team in March 2018 where her strengths in client relationship management and project administration are utilized alongside her passion for customer service and authentic design.

 Lisa completed her Bachelor of Behavioural Science and Bachelor of Justice in 2016 whilst also working in administration for Bravehearts since 2014. In 2016 Lisa moved to London to gain further experience in compliance and administration at Parallel Consulting before travelling through Canada and North America. Returning to Australia, Lisa joined District in October 2018 to provide essential support within the Operations Team; responsible for all project procurement, international order confirmations and warranty claims administration.

 Tahnee completed Bachelor of Interior and Spatial Design (ECU) in 2008, commencing her career in the Interior Design industry and Project Management in commercial interior building.

She progressed to the role of Interior Designer for both retail and commercial projects for small studios and then a large Architectural firm. Tahnee is a perfectionist, design focused, delivery driven with a holistic approach to project solutions. Her passion for design extends further to her personal life with a ceramic business making small batch / custom pieces and active professional development through external training.

 After studying an Adavanced Diploma of Fashion Business in Sydney, Lana moved to Perth and found a new passion within Interior Design and Architecture. Lana began her career with Stylecraft as a sales support and showroom assistant, before advancing to the role of sales consultant. Now located in Melbourne and with 5 years industry experience, her love for quality brands and furniture led her out of sales and into the role of Design Coordinator with District in December 2018. Lana works with the Product and Marketing teams to ensure that the brand and showrooms reflect the District identity.
